Olympic Stadium - Beerschot

The Olympisch Stadion, also known as Kielstadion, is the home stadium of Football Club Beerschot A.C. (Koninklijke Beerschot Antwerpen Club). It was built as the main stadium for the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp and is named Kielstadion because it is located in the Kiel neighborhood of the city. I attended a match there on May 2, 2022, during the playoff for the title between the home youth team of Beerschot and the visiting team KAS Eupen from eastern Belgium. The stadium also hosts events in athletics, equestrian, field hockey, football, gymnastics, modern pentathlon, rugby union, tug of war, weightlifting, and korfball. During our football tour with New Inn Juniors, after playing Olvac U17s on Friday evening, their coach arranged a special stadium tour at Beerschot, the team he supports. It was such a great experience that Beerschot is now my second favorite team behind LFC. Good luck with promotion!
